DANGER!!! my best moist chocolate cake recipe



*** Warning this recipe is high in calories, carbs, & fat be sure to bake it only on special occasions .. enjoy!!!

Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe (3 layers):

3 cups flour
2 cups of sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups of water
2 tsp. vanilla extract

** Very simple no particular order just combine all ingredients together and mix well.
1. Use an 8 inch cake pan for 3 layers cake or 9 inch for 2 layers cake
2. Preheat oven 350 F
3. Use wax paper to outline circumference of your cake pan and be sure to PAM spray when
you add the wax paper
4. Baking Time approx. 30-45mins
5. Be sure to check cake with a tooth pick after 30mins
6. When cake is ready let it all cool off completely before icing cake
7. Cake can be refrig.



Vanilla Buttercream Icing Recipe
2 sticks of unsalted butter (room temp)
1/2 package of confectioner sugar approx. depending on your taste
1/2 cup of whole milk (room temp)
2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of shortening

Apple Tart Tatin


Basic Dough Recipe
1 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
1/4 cup of unsalted butter (cold)
2 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of shortening
1 teaspoon of salt
3 tablespoons of ice water

-In a mixer or food processor add flour, sugar, and salt
-Add butter and shortening .. Pulse the mixer
-Then add water and give it another pulse
-Remove dough from the mixer and if the dough is sticky
add flour and knead.
-Wrap the dough in saran wrap and refrig for 2 hours
before baking


Apple Tart Tatin Recipe
1 or 2 Golden Delicious Apples
4 tablespoon of butter
3 tablespoon of light brown sugar
1 tablespoon of cognac
dash of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

-Preheat oven to 375 F
-In a saucepan combine butter and light brown sugar together and mix intill everything is melted.
-Add cognac and cinnamon
-Slice Golden Delicious Apples thinly or whatever desire shape you please
-Add apples into saucepan and stir the mixture for about 5-8mins.
-Roll out your dough and assemble apples
-Sprikle sugar on top of the tart
-Bake for approx. 40mins (depending on oven be sure to check your tart)
****You want your tart to have a golden brown color


It's best served hot with vanilla ice and whip cream. Enjoy!

One of my favorite Thai Restaurant is located in the west village. This little restaurant has a very nice oriental hip modern decor. While dining customers will experience a laid back atmosphere. The best kept secret is to come during there lunch specials which is m-sun from 1130-330. If your under a budget and want to have a good thai food experience I would highly recommend checking this place out. The Lunch Special has a wide selection of main courses to choose from. For $8 the meal comes with an appetizer and main course of your choice. I suggest trying the fried shrimp & pork fritters appetizer and the black noodle dish. Go ahead and treat yourself with a wonderful sweet savory iced thai tea. Enjoy.

Make it a Wings Night























Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings 
BBQ Honey Buffalo Chicken Wings
Cajun Fries
Sweet Potato Fries








Buffalo Chicken Wing Starter
Ingredients:
Vegetable oil 
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
packet of chicken wings 




Cooking Directions:
1. Defrost and dry chicken wings.
2. In a large bowel combine flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
3. Put the wings into the flour mixture and make sure to coat each wings evenly.
4. Cover and refriger the chicken wings for about an hour. 
5. Heat vegetable oil to 375 degress.
6. Fry chicken wings for about 10-15 minutes or until it turn dark brown. 
7. Remove chicken wing and let it rest on a paper towel.


Spicy Hot Sauce Coating 
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup Louisiana Hot Sauce
1 dash of ground pepper
1 dash of garlic powder

Cooking Directions:
1. In a small saucepan combine butter, hot sauce, 
pepper, and garlic powder over low heat.
2. Stir intill butter is melted and all ingredients are mixed. 
3. In a large bowl put the amount of wings desired and spicy hot sauce together. 
4. Take the bowl and in a flipping motion toss the wings well intill it's well coated. 
5. Ready to serve. 

BBQ Honey Sauce Coating
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of any bbq sauce 
3 tablespoon of honey 

Cooking Directions:
1. In a large bowl put the amount of wings desired and sauce together. 
2. Take the bowl an in a flipping motion toss the wings well intill it's well coated.
5. Ready to serve. 
















Cajun Fries Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Large Idaho potatoes
vegetable oil 
Cajun Seasoning (prefer Tony's Chachere's Creole Season)

Cooking Directions:
1. Slice potatoes into desire shape 
2. Heat oil to 375 degrees
3. Fry fries intill golden brown
4. Remove from oil and sprinkle cajun seasoning


Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Sweet Potato 
Vegetable oil 
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 sugar

Cooking Directions:
1. Slice potatoes into desired shape
2. Heat oil to 375 degrees
3. Fry fries intill golden brown
4. In a small bowl add cinnamon and sugar together
5. Sprinkle sugar mixture
